Art materials needed - Pine cones, leaves, debris, twigs, flowers, grass, roots, sand particles. Paint. Pencils. Rubbers. Sharpeners. Crayons. Choose from activities: Draw or paint a structure of natural materials. I will do an arranged composition and get some dried flowers. Create a piece of natural art on card using the natural materials. First step: Work on a base. Choose a tone for the background. Texture can be added using sugar or sand to create a gritty effect. Plan out how you want to arrange your structure or drawing while the background dries. Show examples of artwork and examples of texture. Second step: Stretching ideas or arranging pieces onto background. Consider the patterns you want to create and what materials you want to use. Sketch out design and start to fill in.
